The camera is in proper working order; film advances properly, the viewfinder is clear, the shutter is accurate at all speeds, the meter functions properly, the rangefinder is bright \u0026amp; accurate, and the battery compartment is corrosion-free. There is extremely faint haze visible when shining a light through the viewfinder, a result of the camera being bought new and kept sealed and unused for so long, but it is not noticeable when looking through the finder. The included Leica 35mm f1.4 Summilux-M Asph \"Ein Stück Leica\" lens, #538\/996, is in similar condition, also rated a (9+). The aperture ring is smooth, but the focus ring is a bit stiff. The aperture functions properly and the glass is clean and clear with no haze, marks, or fungus. It is for Leica M mount. This listing includes a plastic bayonet Leica hood with rubber Leica front cover, plastic Leica front \u0026amp; rear caps, a Leica neck strap (14312), a wooden Leica presentation case, the Leica \"Ein Stück Leica\" Portfolio #538, original instructions \u0026amp; box, and a Leica lens cloth. It uses either one (1) 3V battery or two (2) 1.5V batteries. The vintage 3V battery that Leica originally included is still included, but it should not be used due to its age.
