The V1 uses a 22.3 megapixel 1.4-inch type CMOS sensor measuring 18.4 x 12.3 mm, noticeably larger than the 1-inch sensors in most premium compacts. Paired with the DIGIC X processor you get cleaner high-ISO files and more room to grade, with a native range of ISO 100 to 32000 for stills and 100 to 12800 for video.

Wide Zoom and Built-In ND

The fixed 8.2 to 25.6mm lens covers a 16 to 50mm equivalent range at f/2.8 to f/4.5, which is wide enough for a handheld selfie frame without an accessory lens. Optical IS steadies handheld work, close focus goes to 5 cm at the wide end, and a built-in 3-stop ND filter lets you hold a slow shutter in daylight without screwing anything on the front.

A cooling fan and vents sit inside the body, so long takes are less of a gamble than they usually are in a compact.
