The Leica Summicron-S 100mm f/2 ASPH is the fast portrait lens for the Leica S medium-format system. On the 30 × 45mm ProFormat sensor its 100mm focal length behaves like a classic ~80mm short telephoto, and the bright f/2 aperture gives you exceptional control over sharpness and background separation for expressive, three-dimensional portraits.
It is one of the most highly corrected lenses Leica makes: aspherical optics, three anomalous-partial-dispersion elements for apochromatic correction, and a cemented floating element that holds detail contrast across the entire focus range. Weather- and dust-sealed and available with an optional central shutter, it is a professional tool through and through. Talk to our team about the S system.
