I shot with the X2D for some time. I shot some architecture, but mostly people and landscapes on my travels. Loved the camera. When the X2D II became, I read the reviews, and purchased it. X2D was great but X2D II is even better - great sensor (color, resolution, light capture), enjoy the more tiltable screen, faster focus, improved menu \ button layout system, etc. I also like that it is a photographic camera that doesn't do video; the focus (sorry for the pun) is on the image.

I have been considering getting back into the Hasselblad world since they introduced the X1D, but kept on waiting and then dove in with the introduction of the X2D II. It feels like I picked the right model to start out with. It is a beautiful machine that feels great in hand. The menu system is simple, clear and complete. The viewfinder is big, bright and detailed. The pivoting rear screen allows for waist level and overhead shooting. This camera is a joy to use. I ordered the camera with the XCD 38/f2.5 lens. The images are everything I had hoped for. Shooting in RAW/HEIF gives you a very attractive HDR image for posting or viewing on screen. The RAW files brought into Hasselblad’s Phocus software are jaw-dropping incredible with rich true-to-life colors and fine micro contrast. The only bump in the road is that I am having to learn Phocus, still in progress.
