The Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH is Leica's benchmark fast fifty, offered here in a striking silver chrome finish. Eight elements in five groups with an aspherical surface deliver high-contrast sharpness across the frame wide open, plus the creamy bokeh that made this lens a portrait and available-light legend.
A redesigned double-cam focusing unit extends the ring's travel for comfortable close work down to 0.45 m, and eleven aperture blades render an even rounder out-of-focus background.
