Brand Leica System Leica Q

The Leica Q3 43 Formula 1 ® Edition is the Leica Q3 43 dressed for the track: the same 60 MP full-frame sensor and APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH. lens, with carbon fiber made in Germany on the handgrip, thumb rest and soft release button. Nothing changes on the technical side. You still get the 43mm view that sits close to how your eye sees, Triple Resolution Technology and 8K video, in a special edition that comes as a matched set.

The body is covered in black Microvelour modeled on a racing steering wheel, and red accents mark the soft release and one function button so your thumb finds them without looking. The wireless charging handgrip has an Arca-Swiss mount and comes off when you want a slimmer camera. If you're weighing this against a standard Q3 43, or want to talk through accessories, our team is happy to help.

Buy from an authorized Leica dealer like Camera West to ensure a genuine product with full manufacturer warranty and expert support.

All shipments are fully insured; orders over $150 require a signature. FedEx Express 2-Day and Overnight within the US. Returns accepted within 14 days and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

The Art of Speed

Leica doesn't traditionally build cameras with carbon fiber. Here it sits exactly where you hold and operate the camera: the shell of the wireless charging handgrip, the insert in the thumb rest and the soft release button. The parts are manufactured and tested in Germany, and the weave picks up the light differently every time the camera moves.

Built like a cockpit

The black Microvelour covering gives you the kind of grip a driver gets on a racing steering wheel. The red accents come from the same place: the soft release and the right-hand function button on the thumb rest are finished in Formula 1 ® red so you can find them by feel and keep your eyes on the subject. The F1® logo is on the top plate and the lens cap, and the rope strap carries both brands' logos. It all arrives in a presentation box with a red inlay.

The 'Formula 1' Leica Look

Leica developed a Look just for this camera, with more contrast and richer saturation. You load it through the Leica FOTOS App and apply it while you shoot, so you see the effect in the viewfinder instead of finding it later in post. It applies to JPEGs, which the app can send to your phone in seconds.

Same Q3 43 underneath

The camera is the Leica Q3 43: the APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH. with its built-in macro mode, a full-frame sensor you can set to 60, 36 or 18 MP, ISO 50 to 100,000, the Maestro IV processor and video up to 8K. Leica Q3 and Q3 43 photography accessories fit this edition too.
