Everyday Angle of View

A 35mm on full frame lands close to what your eye takes in without turning to look, which is why it ends up on the camera for street work, travel, and environmental portraits. The f/1.8 aperture gives you enough separation to lift a subject off the background, and stopping down to f/4 or f/5.6 pulls the whole frame into focus for landscapes.

Matched to the Family

The S-S35 uses the same 67mm filter thread and the same 73.6mm barrel diameter and 82.0mm length as the other LUMIX S f/1.8 primes. One set of filters covers the group, and because the weight and center of gravity are close, swapping lenses on a gimbal takes little or no rebalancing.

Focus breathing is suppressed, so a rack focus does not visibly change your framing.
