M6J, 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M, Boxed 1990013

This Leica M6J (Silver) 35mm film rangefinder camera body, #1990013, is in excellent cosmetic condition with very slight signs of handling. I rate it cosmetically a (9+). The camera is in proper working order; film advances properly, the viewfinder is clear, the shutter is accurate at all speeds, the meter functions properly, the rangefinder is bright & accurate, and the battery compartment is corrosion-free. There is extremely faint haze visible when shining a light through the viewfinder because the camera was bought new and kept sealed and unused for so long, but it is not noticeable when looking through the finder.

The included Leica 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M collapsible prime lens (Silver), #1990-13, is in similar condition, also rated a (9+). The lens extends and retracts properly, the focus and aperture rings are smooth, the aperture functions properly, and the glass is clean and clear with no haze, marks, or fungus. It is for Leica M mount. This kit includes a brown leather Leica ever ready case, a brown leather Leica neck strap with rubber shoulder pad, a brown leather hood/cap case, a threaded silver metal Leica hood, a silver metal Leica front cap whose interior rim felt is deteriorating a bit, a Certificate of Authenticity, a wooden Leica presentation case, the original instructions & box, a plastic Leica body cap, and a plastic Leica rear cap. It uses either one (1) 3V battery or two (2) 1.5V batteries (not included); the vintage 3V battery Leica originally included is still with the camera, but it should not be used due to age.
