We utilize various shipping carriers, with FedEx Express being our primary choice for 2-Day and Overnight shipping within the US, as well as International deliveries.
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%. This fee is not for profit, but to cover the costs associated with selling an item. Each return is evaluated individually, and we strive to minimize this fee. In many instances, we waive it entirely if the refund credit can be applied towards another item in the store.

We highly recommend visiting us in person to experience our fine photographic tools before deciding which tool best fits your needs. Please note that our inventory is distributed among our three stores, and what you see online may be at any of these locations. Below are a few points that we’d like to make in order to meet your needs for in store pick up.
The location of each item is indicated online. For convenience, you can choose to pick up your item at any of our stores. Once purchased, the item should be ready for pick up within 4 hours at the designated store, although this might vary depending on the store's busyness and time of day. If you want to pick up an item at a different store, select that store for pick up during checkout, or choose a regular shipping method and let us know your preferred pick up store via support@camerawest.com or by responding to your order confirmation email.
For any questions about in-store pick up, please email support@camerawest.com. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
We offer a concierge trade-in program for the gear you'd like to upgrade, cross-grade, or simply pass on to a new owner. This enables you to acquire the tools that fit your specific needs. I purchased the Q3 43 recently and am thrilled with the image quality from this superb camera. This was my third purchase, having bought a Q in 2016 and then a Q3 early last year. The Q3 and Q3 43 compliment each other quite well. I often carry each and use them interchangeably depending upon the scene and desired field of view. I’m not much of a jpeg shooter, but have been setting up some user profiles lately and taking advantage of the Leica Looks and Film Styles that can be easily transferred to either camera. I have always enjoyed the compact size of the Q system, its ease of use and reliability. While the Q doesn’t do everything—I use my Nikon gear for wildlife bird photos and sporting event—the Q really excels for landscapes, street photography, portraits and more.
A premium camera like this is let down by substandard autofocus.
Compared to the latest Canon, Sony or Nikon mirrorless bodies it feels more like 10 year old Fuji level.
Given that Sony provides Leica with the sensors, how hard would it be for Leica to license the auto focus code, which actually is designed to be used with these sensors?
I’ve heard people having to use focus and recompose with a single focus point in order to get things in focus. I’m sorry but we moved on from DSLRs 10 years ago and this is not a reliable technique.
The simple fact is my Nikon Zf is a faster autofocusing camera, is more accurate, is better in low light and costs less than $2000 is something that should shame Leica.
Leica Q3 43mm offers a perfect balance between versatility and subject isolation compared to the predecessor 28mm. Its focal length is ideal for portraits and detailed shots, providing natural perspective without distortion. Paired with Leica’s APO lens, it’s a superior choice for professionals who want to travel light.
Ask to be on waiting list for Leica Q3 43. Relatively quickly they contacted me with notice that they had the camera. I bought it and it was shipped quickly and very securely. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
I have owned several Leica cameras including the Q, Q2, and Q3. The Q3 43 is, for me, the perfect camera. I have always gravitated toward the 35 and 50 focal lengths. For everyday shooting in a variety of genres, 43 is perfect. The level of detail and capture of light with this new lens are remarkable. The form factor is superb — compact, light, and yet substantial.
