The Leica Elmarit-S 45mm f/2.8 ASPH is a fast wide-angle for the Leica S medium-format system, delivering a field of view equivalent to a 35mm lens in full-frame terms. This Non-CS version omits the integrated central shutter for a more accessible entry into S-system wide-angle work, while retaining the same demanding optical design.
Twelve elements in nine groups, three of them anomalous partial-dispersion glasses plus an aspherical surface, are engineered for maximum contrast wide open and edge-to-edge sharpness. Rear-group focusing keeps performance high from infinity to close focus, and the barrel is weather- and dust-sealed. Ask our team how it fits your S kit.
