The Light Lens Lab 35mm f/2 Apochromatic is the first lens in Light Lens Lab's High Performance Series and the maker's first apochromatic design. It is a Leica M-mount 35mm built around a newly developed floating optical system of 11 elements in 6 groups with four aspherical elements. Ultra-low-dispersion and anomalous partial-dispersion glass, paired with a high-transmission multilayer coating, hold chromatic aberration and purple fringing in check under backlit and high-contrast light, so the lens stays sharp with good distortion control and edge-to-edge performance wide open at f/2.

This copy is finished in black paint over aerospace-grade aluminum, with close-focus knurling on the barrel. A preset diaphragm with half-increment lock settings and a precision-machined focusing mechanism running on miniature bearings give it smooth, repeatable handling down to a 0.3 m close focus. If you shoot street, environmental portraits, or still life on your M, our team can help you match it to your body and workflow.

Our online process is both personal and simple.

To begin, fill out the form on our Trade // Sell page with the details of the fine photographic equipment or watches you'd like to trade in. One of our team members will then contact you to confirm any details we might need for an accurate estimate. We will provide an estimate that doesn’t only look at the value of your trade in but the whole picture of where you want to go. If the estimate is satisfactory to you, we can provide a shipping label for you to ship your gear to one of our stores for a final inspection and store credit.
