The Panasonic LUMIX S 18-40mm f/4.5-6.3 is the smallest and lightest zoom Panasonic has made for full-frame L-mount: 155g, and 40.9mm long with the barrel retracted. The range is unusual and practical, running from a 100 degree ultra-wide at 18mm to a normal 40mm, so interiors, architecture, and everyday snapshots come off one lens.

Eight elements in seven groups, with three aspherical, two ED, and one UHR element, do the correction work, and it focuses to 0.15m from 18mm through 21mm for 0.28x magnification. The barrel is dust and splash resistant to 14F with a fluorine coating on the front element, and focus breathing is suppressed for video. Worth knowing before you buy: there is no optical stabilization, no hood in the box, and the filter thread is 62mm rather than the 67mm the LUMIX S f/1.8 primes share. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%. This fee is not for profit, but to cover the costs associated with selling an item. Each return is evaluated individually, and we strive to minimize this fee. In many instances, we waive it entirely if the refund credit can be applied towards another item in the store.

Please note, all returned items must be in the condition in which they were shipped. If the items are returned in a different condition, we will not be able to accept them.

If the estimate is satisfactory to you, we can provide a shipping label for you to ship your gear to one of our stores for a final inspection and store credit. Finally, we apply that credit towards your new gear!
