The Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 G Compact, Lightweight Wide Zoom Lens delivers exceptional image quality with high resolution throughout its focal range, blending peak performance autofocus with the precision of two Linear Motors for fast and quiet focus. Its close-up capabilities extend to 18cm (7.09”) at 24mm with manual focus, while the lens’s compact, versatile design ensures superb performance in various situations. The deep bokeh effect, supported by a circular 11-blade aperture, makes the subject stand out, and the lens’s F2.8 aperture is particularly well-suited for movie shooting. Advanced aspherical and ED glass elements effectively control spherical and chromatic aberrations. The lens also features a dedicated aperture ring with click/de-click and iris lock switches for comprehensive control, Linear Response MF for precise adjustments, and a front fluorine coating that repels fingerprints, dust, water, and oil. Its dust and moisture-resistant construction offers reliability in challenging conditions, and it supports 67mm screw-on filters. Additionally, the lens includes a petal-shaped bayonet mount lens hood (ALC-SH178) for enhanced protection and performance.
