The Leica Q3 Monochrom

This is my second Leica camera, I started with Leica CL, now upgrade with Leica Q3 -28 amazing picture quality, I love it,

In my younger days, I did own the 21mm F1.4 Summilux. This lens is much lighter and quite sharp. I am using it on my new M EV-1, and primarily doing zone focusing, as focus peaking is too slow for my editorial style.

Great bag. Very nicely made.

Lot of fun and surprisingly good image quality in a compact format. Dual RAW and jpeg files. Bluetooth wireless file transfer app actually works well, a bit slow for RAW files but reliable.

This was purchased for the Q3 Monochrom. It makes the feel in hand perfect for someone with bigger hands.

Seamless upgrade from the M11 with a great menu and features. Looking forward to a monochrome version if it is produced.

I absolutely Love my Q3 monochrome, Allows me to focus on Lights and Shadows. She's a Keeper.

Tested the lens and its up to par. Produced some pretty good images when I tested it.

I found the combination of optical quality and vibration reduction to be really good. First time out with the lens on the Fujifilm XT5 shooting birds produced surprisingly good results. Even at maximum magnification, the excellent vibration reduction produced sharp pictures with only moderate shutter speeds. Really a game changer compared to my Nikon D850 and the 200-400 nikon zoom with Nikon 1.4 magnifier.

A big Thanks to Festa, Brent and Mike for helping me pick out the right camera (M11P and 35 Summilux close focus lens). Love the build and size of the 34 1.4. Love the rangefinder, coming from the M10R and M11,
the M11 P is joy to use as my everyday camera along with my Q3 43. Nothing compares with the finish and build of the M bodies. The quality of the build is incredible and the process of making photos is different from anything else I've ever used, mainly due to the rangefinder experience and manual approach. I considered getting the new M EV1, but ultimately realized that the rangefinder experience is what makes the M system so frustrating and yet rewarding all at once. I love this camera!
